Congressional Cup Weekend is the longest multi-organization competition in North America! We are proud to include athletes from the 4 great twirling organizations: the National Baton Twirling Association (NBTA), United States Twirling Association (USTA) , Canadian Baton Twirling Federation (CBTF), and Canadian National Baton Twirling Association (CNBTA). This exciting weekend consist of three different events... the open Tournament, Clinic and the world- famous Invitational.


The Tournament, in which anyone can compete, has been a fixture on the twirling scene over 40 years. Twirlers of all levels and ability have flocked to this competition to compete. The Elite Twirl Off Finals are always amazing to watch and have often been called a mini-nationals. We are excited to have recently added team and an all-round event!

Come take lessons from the "Best of the Best"!!

Our clinic features instruction from national/world twirling champions as well as some of the best twirling coaches from around the world! It is truly and honor to have these high level instructors teaching for us! Every year we have produced one of the most popular and productive clinics in the twirling world! All levels of twirling are welcome!! Learn more complicated rolls, new exciting low difficulty/contact material, creative tricks, and more from our prestigious staff.

Our motto maybe "Where the Elite Compete" but when it comes to our clinic it's
"Where the Elite Teach!"

Cost: $40.00 or $10.00 a class

If you are entered in team, which is scheduled at the same time as the clinic, you may still catch some of the classes by paying $10.00 per class. There will be 5 classes and entries will be accepted that day.

All twirlers who have not already paid a facility fee will be charged a $12 fee.

  • Parking: Parking is free! Simply park in a lined, non-permitted space, and if you park in a handicap space, you must have the appropriate hangtag displayed. Click here for a campus parking map.
  • Patron /Competitor Entrance: Signage will be posted at the front entrance of the venue noting where competitors should enter. All other patrons should use the main entrance. Please see event schedule distributed by your event contact for specific schedule information.
  • Prohibited Items: Please take note of the following items which are NOT permitted in the Arena. A full list of prohibited items can be found here.
    • Outside food and beverage is not permitted in our building. This will be strictly enforced. We encourage you to visit our concession stand for meal, snack, and drink opportunities. Everyone entering the front doors of the Arena will be required to discard their outside foods or beverages before entering the Arena.
    • Signage, upon approval, can be hung only to bleacher rails, concrete columns, glass, or block painted walls. Masking or painters’ tapes are permitted on our concrete walls only, while duct, packing, or other tapes are prohibited.
    • Strollers are also not permitted in the venue. Please plan accordingly.
  • Tobacco & Smoke Free Campus: Please remember that Harford Community College is a SMOKE-FREE/ TOBACCO-FREE campus. This includes the arena, around the arena, and our parking lots.
  • Accessibility: The Arena provides a convenient drop off and pick up area at the main entrance of the Arena for guests. There is an elevator in the Arena if you wish to use it. Please contact the Arena ahead of time (443-412-2189) with any accessibility requests, concerns, or questions.

This prestigious event is one of the first multi-organization competitions in the world. The athletes competing in this event have been deemed the best All-Around twirlers from their respective organizations. The Invitees are selected by their placements at the National Championships of the United States Twirling Association, the National Baton Twirling Association, the Canadian National Baton Twirling Association and the Canadian Baton Twirling Federation. The athletes will compete in three events- Solo, Two Baton and Freestyle upon conclusion All-Around Champion will be determined!! We are also known for having the best performers from around the world entertain our crowd! So, who will become the 2020 Congressional Cup Invitational Champion?
